Our first day in Prague

We arrived in Prague about 11am after a great flight from NY.
Found our hotel, left our luggage and had lunch at a wonderful
Café in  Old Town Square. Our hotel is really nice, right in the middle of everything.
Spent the rest of the day just checking things out. It started to rain late in the afternoon so we stopped in a café by the Charles bridge
For a beer and people watching.

PRAGUE to RUSSIA

Patty and I are once again making a trip overseas.
This time we are heading to Prague, Baltic States and
Russia. We plan to spend about three weeks over there.
I  will try to post lots of pictures when we have wi fi

Winter is still here

It has been snow here about every other day.  I know the bison wish spring would get here soon.

A trip to Old faithful

The park service open the road down to Old faithful and West Yellowstone this weekend.  So a road trip was in order.  The following pictures are some of the beautiful things we saw along the way. What a beautiful country we live in.

Snow and the park

We got off work Monday at three and decide to
to take a ride out to Lamar Valley.  It had snowed
all day so it was beautiful.

Tuesday it was about 8 degrees’s, not weather 
for hiking. We headed to Bozeman for a little
shopping lunch and than a movie.

Yellowstone Here We Come.........

It’s that time of year, Yellowstone here we come.

We left March 16th and headed  across country.

We stopped in Memphis to visit with Nancy’s family.

As always we had had a wonderful time.  They take

really good care of us.

We stopped in Park City to visit with friend who work

with us last year.  Spent the night in Bozeman to 

do shopping and eat at our favorite place 

(McKenzie River). 

Sunday morning we headed for the park. It’s always

a thrill the first drive into the park each year.  You

forget just how breathtaking it is.  It’s good to be

back to our spring time home.

The Bears of Hyder

After leaving Jasper we headed west on Hwy 16 .  First night stop was Smithers BC. Next stop was Stewart BC/Hyder AK were we stop so we could see the bears fishing for salmon on their way up stream to spawn.

This is so good

You wouldn’t believe the prices of food/gas and lodging in Canada. Also some of the places that we are staying in, they are not the Ritz.They think nothing of asking you $150 or more a night. We don’t realize how good we have it in the good old USA.

We are now heading for the Yukon.......
