South Dakota 

After a great time in Glacier we headed south and east to South Dakota.


We went thru Bozeman, MT were we stated 10 days before. We finally ended up in Deadwood, a great old west town. Guess what the Sturgis bike week was in full swing. Sturgis is 15 miles from Deadwood. We were lucky to find a room as there were 10’s of thousands of bikers every were. You wouldn’t believe all the people. Great bikes of every size-color-and shape.


We took a tour of Deadwood and than headed to Sturgis to see what was going on. Had a great time.

Next day we headed to Mt Rushmore to see the presidents. We took a self audio tour which helped us understand how it all came about.

That afternoon we went to Custer State Park. Another wonderful park in the west. It was about a 3 hour drive up and down and around the mountains. Just beautiful.
