Philipsburg, Mt.

On our days off this week we headed to a small town call Philipsburg. It was a neat old mining town. To get there we took hwy #90 west and pick up route #1 which is the Pintler Scenic Highway thru Anaconda. It was a beautiful ride thru the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness. We went by Georgetown Lake which is an area for great for fishing.

Philipsburg is an enchanting 19th century mining town boasting many of Montana’s oldest structures and friendliest people. This is an area were they mined for sapphires.

The town is known for having the Sweet Palace the world’s greatest candy store. It has over 1000 selections. We had to buy some chocolates for the trip home.
