Walkway at Grant Village

Trip to Grant Village

On our days off this week we decided to take a trip to Grant Village and the rest of the park.  The roads had not been open on the east side of Yellowstone until this week.  Everyone had been telling us how much snow there was down in the Grant Village part of the park.  We could not believe it.  Up in Mammoth the snow is all gone and the grass is green.  In Grant Village which is in the southern part of the park there is still lot of snow.

At Fishing Bridge the Garage has caved in from the snow on the roof.

On the drive home we saw our first grizzly bear.  He was nice enough to stand there and let us take pictures.

  1. Your pictures are small again. The Lamar Valley and Lava Creek pictures are full screen but the new ones from Grant barely take up a quarter of the screen. What happened?
